I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience at Ocean County Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery! I have severe dental anxiety, so the thought of having five teeth extracted AND a cyst removed from my jaw had me absolutely terrified. I truly expected this to be an extremely difficult experience for me. Instead, I made it through the entire procedure without so much as a mild panic attack! The team was incredibly understanding about my anxiety and made sure I was comfortable from the very beginning. They gave me nitrous first to help me relax before putting me to sleep, and that made such a difference. Even more amazing was my recovery. I had absolutely no pain the entire first day. On day two, I woke up a little achy, took two Tylenol, and was completely fine. I have had no bruising at all and only very minor swelling. Considering everything I had done, I honestly can't believe how easy my recovery has been. What impressed me even more was that the office called the following day just to check on me and see how I was feeling. Outstanding practice.. Dr. McDonald was extremely professional with phenomenal bedside manners..I was thoroughly impressed from start to finish while treating my son. The Dr.,technicians, receptionists and support staff were extremely kind, patient and thorough throughout the entire experience.. I am beyond grateful for the referral to come to see Dr. McDonald.. I highly recommend this office for any oral surgery and would give them 10 stars ⭐️ if I could.. Thank you..

I went yesterday to have two wisdom teeth removed, both erupted but the bottom one came in crooked and was causing issues with the molar in front. This was my first true dental procedure other than cleanings and I was highly nervous for weeks leading up the appointment. The surgery ended up being a piece of cake, I barely felt the numbing shot and both teeth were removed pain free within minutes. All my worrying was for nothing. Swelling is already gone and I am virtually pain free, I ended up only needing some Advil. They give you detailed instructions to take care of the surgery areas in the days that follow. Thank you Dr. McDonald and staff for your professionalism!

My husband had an excellent experience with Dr. TJ. From the moment we walked in, we felt comfortable and well cared for.. Dr. TJ’s bedside manner was incredibly professional, calm and reassuring, which helped ease my husband’s nerves before the procedure. The procedure itself was surprisingly quick and virtually painless. Dr. TJ explained everything clearly before hand and made sure my husband was comfortable the entire time. Recovery was smooth and we both truly appreciate the attention to detail and compassionate care.. from the front desk girls, including Ashton all the way to the assistant Erin! Thank you all so very much for your professionalism and your genuine care from start to finish! We appreciate you all!!!

I called Dr. McDonald’s office at 9 ish in the morning and explained that my husband broke a tooth and asked to make an appointment. The person on the phone was so pleasant and scheduled him for 11:30 that same day. When we arrived at the office everyone there was so sweet and professional, making my husband feel at ease. Dr. McDonald was great, he took care of my husband’s issue. When my husband came out of the office he said “He (Dr. McDonald) was excellent. The day after his visit the office called to see how he was feeling. Everyone there is very caring. I highly recommend Dr. McDonald and his staff.
